A centerpiece for Scissortail Park is the lake, which is 3-acres with a 240’ bridge. The boathouse will offer peddle boat and paddle board rentals. The Lake is replenished through a French drain system that extends throughout the Park which also helps mitigate the introduction of stormwater into the City’s drainage system. The lake will be approximately 10-12 feet deep. The color of the lake will at first look muddy after it is filled but then will change into a cleaner, more natural color as the biofiltration system begins to do its work.
